Help shape plans to improve Headington Centre

Headington Action and Headington Neighbourhood Forum have engaged a consultant, AR Urbanism, to prepare a plan for improving Headington Centre.

The plan aims to make the centre welcoming, inclusive, and easily accessible for all, foster active travel and a stronger identity, provide lively gathering spaces and support a vibrant evening economy.

The project has progressed based on ideas for change and improvement contributed by local residents in a survey carried out this summer. A public exhibition has now been arranged to share these ideas with local people and obtain their views and comments.

At the exhibition there will be an opportunity to meet the consultants and discuss the developing plan and to put forward your views and ideas, which will in turn help to shape the final plan.

What creates healthy cities?

The places people live are the largest determinant of their health. A recent Public Seminar at the Global Centre on Healthcare & Urbanisation at Kellogg College, Oxford, discussed the findings of the Commission on Creating Healthy Cities’ report on this topic, published in July 2022:
